A story-slam is an open-mic story telling night with a theme. Our theme this time is TRUTH & LIES. Stories are true, as remembered by the storyteller, and told without notes. There is an approximate 5-minute time limit set for the story teller and the theme may be interpreted broadly. Prizes. Story tellers should register in advance to resist@ptd.net

Andrew Forman of Goodfight is curating the weekly Close My Eyes and See Rivers residency for October. The nights will be performances playing through tape machines and recorders, sing songs and smoke ribbons, delay melts at room temperature, yielding a unique cassette recording of the evening’s performance.
Playing will be some collection of New York friends, including Dave Zakarian, Amani Fela, Fred Griggs, Patrick McGee, and others.
